Reforming County Commission- Seat 4B
It's time to bring County Commission back into the realm of normal citizens.
You've heard a lot obout 'honesty' and 'open government' over the past few months. Honesty is great, but I have a plan, too- a plan to ensure that County Commission stays honest and open, permanently. True reform is going to require outsiders to get into the game- otherwise, Knox County will get new faces from the 'old network' and be stuck with another 20 years of the same dead-end thinking. Read regular updates on a variety of topics on my blog, reform4.blogspot.com.
I want to bring:
- A specific plan for reforming Knox County Commission and eliminating cronyism and waste
- A fresh perspective to all the issues, unencumbered by traditional ties to developers, media, or other high-level government officials.
- 'Ouside of the box' thinking about the County Budget and other issues critical to growth, health, and jobs. The best solution is rarely a choice between those offered by the "us versus them" crowd.
- A long-term perspective to schools, zoning issues, and economic issues, anticipating future concerns before they become a crisis.
Mark your calendars NOW:
- General Early Voting July 18-Aug 2rd
- General Election (at polls) Aug 3rd, 2008
