Commission Duties

Congratulations to Ed and the Other Winners

We ran a great game, but the game belongs to the voters in the end .

We're glad to finally reach the end point of a fully elected commission, and I'm sure the rest of Knox County feels the same way. Congratulations to Ed Shouse on his victory, and congratulation to the other district and county winners.

We're also pleased to see that, in almost all of the races, the race stuck to the issues and didn't go negative. We certainly felt that was the case in our race. As one person said to me- "I don't know who to vote for; you're ALL good."

Thanks to so many people for their hard work. First and foremost to my two top campaigners, Lee Ann (my wife) and Dr. Lorraine Hart, our Campaign Advisor. I can't even describe the work, ideas, and support that they contributed, suffice it to say it was extensive, and appreciated beyond measure.

Thanks also to the Ward/Precinct chairs who worked very hard on the election for many candidates- Lisa, John, George, Faye, Mac, etc.

Thanks finally to the endless contributors, supporters, and to the individuals that voted for me. We made a great run at it, and good things will come out of the effort, as we still got out an important message for the new Commission to take forward.

For me- well, if the opportunity to serve the community pops up in any other way, I'd be happy to do so.
